About Bath and beyond from Marie Got’s
Straight into the historic town centre:-
In 10 minutes of leaving the Townhouse, walking past the famous King’s Circus right into the heart of Milsom Street’s fine shopping, great cafés and Bath’s wonderful history, you can comfortably reach the Thermae Spa complex and Roman Baths
Victoria Park walk:-
Or take a more leisurely stroll down through this lovely park named after the eponymous Queen, past the tennis club (with a really good crazy golf course) and arrive in Queen’s Square leading into Quiet Street boutiques and Milsom Street’s shopping highlights
Location:-
Marie Got’s is in an amazing location of Bath’s historic West End quietly tucked away yet minutes from the lively heart of the city – Margaret’s Buildings remains the heart of this residential quarter with the original ‘provisioners of fine things’ still today a lane of charming independent boutiques, galleries and eateries. During the Jane Austin festival you will see the local costume being paraded by those harking back to gloriously romantic and indulgent days – watch quietly from the bay windows as the hoi-polloi stroll about yet be free to join in the madding crowd within but a couple of minutes. And you are in a welcoming home perfectly equipped to ensure you have a memorable stay in Bath

The Liz Cox shop in Bath
Marie Got was the 18c milliner of European origin whose home was this lovely townhouse and whose millenary, just adjacent, is today better known by this British designer-bag label:

Local eateries:-
The Townhouse is perfectly located to walk to and from some of Bath’s finest eateries – the nearest two bistro’s offer classic French menus or just a coffee, and but 100 yards away is the newest café restaurant de choix offering coffee, luncheon or supper-proper and is open all day. Two award-winning gastro-pubs are very nearby just off Catherine’s Square and Marlborough Buildings respectively – all-importantly without the hassle of driving let alone parking. And just 400 yards away there is Eades the Grocers for everything the best chefs in Bath’s 5* hotels need including local fruit and daily dairy provisions with a convenience store accessible (but out of sight) where needs must. Reassuringly there are two good pharmacies close on hand (and Bath’s walk-in health centre 4 minutes away just in case).
