About Bath and beyond from Emma Goodhart’s
Straight into the historic town centre:-
In 10 minutes of leaving the Townhouse, walking down Lyncombe Hill, you can comfortably reach the Thermae Spa complex and Roman Baths and be right in the heart of fine shopping, great cafés and Bath’s wonderful history.
Riverside walk:-
Or take a more leisurely stroll along the pretty river-side walk, past the famous rugby ground, watching the pleasure boats come and go, as you walk past the famous rugby ground towards Pultney Bridge and admire beautiful views of Bath Abbey and the World Heritage city.
Location:-
Emma Goodhart’s is an amazing location in which the large walled gardens and panoramic views defy belief that you are actually in Jane Austin’s city. This is green and rural living with peace and tranquillity far from the madding crowds and hoi-polloi. And you are in a welcoming home perfectly equipped to ensure you have a memorable stay in Bath.
Widcombe Village eateries:-
The Townhouse is perfectly located to stroll to and from some of Bath’s finest eateries just at the bottom of Lyncombe Hill in the fashionable Widcombe area – so without the hassle of driving let alone parking– there is a choice of two great gastro-pubs: The Ring-O-Bells and The White Hart, and the more sedate Bramley’s English restaurant. There is a deli-pantry for nice extras including local fruit, veg and dairy, plus a choice of gift shops and a good pharmacy (and Bath’s walk-in health centre 10 minutes away just in case).
Where to eat:-
We have made a personal list of places where we enjoy eating-out which comes with your booking confirmation and direction details (please do ask if you want to whet your appetite before booking your stay at Emma Goodhart’s)
